I'm an aspiring teacher (aspiring in the sense of aiming at the local program Aha), who presently subsists on the art of making grocery store salads...I have two very delightful cats hilariously enough, a small black cat and a partial maine coon, which makes the TDM great in hindsight...
I tend to plurk mostly for Game stuff- aside from Diatu here, I am also in Daybreak, and Ryslig! But I also plurk about some IRL things, and OCCASIONALLY...video games I've been playing. A lot of my fandoms are kind of 'hidden' fandoms outside of the YGO franchise, since I tend to only really talk about them if someone mentions them first...
ANYWAY. Noa's first game when I picked up the muse was actually a Really Old magicschool-focused game as well so I'm absolutely thrilled to be here, especially now that I've been running him more confidently for a while! I'm looking forward to playing with you all!
Character: Noa Kaiba House: Valhudor About: Noa is an interesting kid in that he's got the intellect of an 18 year old but the mental and physical state of a 12 year old- go figure being a computer for 6 years is just. BAD. For growth.
But it's okay, because now he's a Person again. To explain, Noa technically died when he was 12- his dad wasn't having it though, so he tried uploading him to a military super computer, making a virtual world for his kid to live in.
Etc etc, that dad was Gozaburo and go figure things eventually came to be that Gozaburo seemingly died, Seto took over Kaiba Corp, and Noa sort of looked at all this from a distance and thought it was totally BANANAS.
So he trapped Seto and a bunch of the YGO cast in the virtual world and had people duel (including....a penguin guy actually...) while taking out his anger on his stepbrother before figuring out that Maybe Being Nice is Good through various things mokuba it was mokuba...and also he ended up doing a heroic computer sacrifice while everyone escaped.
And they never spoke of him again....
The point is, he kind of thought he was going to be dead (again)? And now he's really not, so he's simultaneously decided this is Really Awesome and Really Weird.
He's just going to hyperfixate on the Really Awesome and enjoy things like Eating Food, and Reading Physical Books for now though. (Someone let him try coffee he'll hate it it's going to be great)
IN ANY CASE, Noa isn't exactly...malicious so much as just really prone to spite, and for that matter didn't grow in a situation where he interacted with anyone beyond his dad and his tutors- so on the one hand, WOW, SECOND CHANCE AT LIFE! NEW INFORMATION HE HAS NEVER SEEN! (he really likes learning stuff)
On the other how does one INTERACT with people??? it's probably magic
Hopefully being in musical illusions house will help him figure that out. Or at least, be subjected to people Making Him Figure It Out
CR Goals:fambly Aside from obvious cast shenanigans (Noa is more than Slightly nervous for good 'Former Antagonist' reasons), Noa just in generally doesn't entirely...grasp the concept of how FRIENDS work, so it'll be interesting to see how that plays out here. Over all I'm looking forward to working with all the potential that sits in Noa reconnecting with a lot of what makes life...'LIFE', which honestly he didn't super have in his actual life either.
Also: MUSIC THINGS. N E R D THINGS. PENGUIN THINGS he has an Emperor Penguin familiar who is the Emperor of Penguins i love this,
All of these things are important, let's go,
Notes: Noa is 4'8'' but Emperor Penguins can be 4'3'' so when Adelai is in his palanquin he will be TALLER, technically- (But mostly this just makes things amusing because Noa isn't even half a foot taller than his familiar Ah-ha-Haaaaaa excellent)
oh and uh also i guess this is my moment to throw penguin triva everywhere i'm sorry
Man that dying and coming back is just a kick in the pants, isn't it?
Luckily for Noa Yotsuyu likes children and his apparent age will work in his favor. I also have a dorky rock boy and if she gets in, Noa met Isabel in the TDM! :)
You know I didn't realize how weird it is that Noa and Seto look alike despite not being biologically related at all until this very moment.
Anyway, welcome! I am very excited to see all the fun Noa and his penguin get up to, and Seto's still awkward as hell about all of this, but he's learning how to people too, even though his challenges are different. They'll figure this out.
Welcome to the game Usagi! I'm excited to see another member of the ygo cast, also I'm super curious as to what other " Really Old magicschool-focused game"you were referring to. I mean there have been a ton of magical school games I'm sure, but I have been in a few so..... YES. ALL MY CURIOUS.
Greetings from yet another former antagonist who died (sorta) and came back! Also the only one currently in game with hair crazy enough to rival Yami and Yugi's. :3
I expect it'll be interesting to see how these two interacting plays out. :3
Hey Usagi! I'm Frankie, and I play Louie Duck (DuckTales '17) and Kamala Khan (Marvel Comics) in Diatu. Also, basically everything in your OOC intro had me giggling. Noa seems like a really entertaining character to build CR with! Kamala's very friendly, whereas Louie's friendly enough, but there's... Often a catch! He's a schemer. But he's also accustomed to making friends with people who don't really know how to social, so that might be a point in his favor.
Name: Muffin Contact:tinymuffin84 and Discord on request! Timezone: CST About yourself: Me? I'm an idjit. I'm down for snuggles any time and I have a weakness for kittens. RP wise, I have only one other character active in anything, though a friend is threatening to wake a third muse of mine up. So! This isn't my first rodeo with RP, though it is my first rodeo with this game in particular. I have high hopes for it, since what it seems to do lines up a good bit with what I had hoped to accomplish with Kuja, namely giving him a place to settle down and try to sort himself out after the events of Final Fantasy 9 and then Dissidia, now that he has his full array of memories back. He never really got that chance after FF9 and before the crap in Dissidia.
Anyway! I'm almost always around. I do have a Discord and I'll be happy to nudge that at people if you want. Too many spam bots for me to put it out there at random though. Looking forward to it all here!
Character:Kuja House: Ka About: Kuja is a high class priss who was created as a "perfect being" with unimaginable power who thought he could never die. He was sent from his home world to speed the process of death on another to revive his own world by funneling souls to it. As you can imagine, he wasn't particularly loved, but he didn't really care. He was created as a fully functional adult, so he never had that critical stage of emotional development children go through. He doesn't understand some social concepts because of this, and even after everything that happened to him in the events of FF9 and Dissidia, he still struggles. These things aren't easy for him to learn, and so he's prone to going back to things that are comfortable to him, like isolation and pride and anger. Still, he can be quite polite and charming in the right circumstances. He was very wealthy back home and learned to behave like a spoiled adult at best
That said, while he is likely going to be extremely difficult to like, he was forced to come to terms with his mortality within a very sort time, uprooting his world completely. Add onto that the fact that even at his prime, he was beaten down by someone he considered far weaker than he was and, well... Let's just say it was an eye opener for him. He's a changed person, and none of this has been easy for him, but he didn't have long to consider it.
For headcanon purposes, after the end of FF9, where Zidane curls over Kuja to protect him from the Iifa Tree's assault, they were trapped there until Kuja used the last of his strength to throw one more Flare Star and destroy the roots, thus freeing Zidane and allowing him to escape. He has no memory of his death beyond this.
Then comes the events of Dissidia, where he was yanked with others into another world and forced to fight without end, without rest. While each battle slowly brought back his memories, he had to contend with the warriors brought into the world like him (the "bad" guys from various Final Fantasy games, summoned by the god Chaos) - none of them were friendly toward each other and really, among this group, it was more of a begrudging alliance. As the battles waged on and he remembered more and more, Kuja became less and less willing to fight, until at last he actively sought out Zidane to try and help him end the war by turning on the god who brought the warriors of Chaos over.
Welp. tl;dr, that didn't work out. One of the warriors of Chaos got wind of what he was doing and forced him to betray Zidane. A little while later, this same punk killed him and shoved false memories in his head, turning Kuja back into a jerk until he was defeated again and started to remember what he'd lost. All the while, he was teased and bullied among the warriors of Chaos for being young and relatively new to the evil bad guy nasty plottery game. I mean, who needs that, right?
Fast forward to the next world over, after Cosmos (good guys' summoning goddess) is killed, and now Kuja finds himself dealing with a similar situation, where he and Zidane and the people they knew from the first Dissidia or two are forced to fight again. This time, Kuja remembers everything, and he strikes out on his own to help Zidane out. He's a little aloof though, and claims not to care about this whole hero business. Why should he need others if he's strong enough to stand on his own? In the end, it turns out, he and everyone else are forced to work together to save that world AND themselves, and once they defeat the cause of the world's destruction, they're finally, FINALLY sent home.
... And this is where Kuja's story in Diatu begins. tl;dr FOR REAL, he's a reformed bad guy who's struggling with the concepts of friendship and needing others, he's hella prideful and he's hella good looking and he is/was hella powerful and good at what he did. But now he has no powers and he's gonna struggle to come to terms with that.
CR Goals: If you got through his About section, or even if you're just familiar with Final Fantasy 9 and Dissidia, you know Kuja is going to have a lot of work ahead of him, but he's very resistant to it all. He has spent all 24 years of his life relying on himself, working for his own goals in secret, looking after himself. While he wasn't the most nurturing in many ways, he survived. He grew stronger.
What this means is that he's going to be hard to befriend, even if he is a gentleman and charismatic, but this is what I hope he'll find here. He wants to know what it was that overpowered him in the end, what Zidane has that he doesn't, and he wants to understand it even if he's been quick to give up or turn away from it. He never has had an opportunity to have to rely on someone else, short of the final battle in Dissidia NT, and Diatu can offer him that. He'll be made to start over again, to work from the ground up, and I'm hoping, with the right nudging and the right circumstances, he'll come to learn what he was denied and have that second chance he doesn't believe he deserves.
Notes: Don't touch his tail. No, seriously. Please don't. He will be angry. He's very sensitive about it.
As mentioned on Plurk, I'm not quite sure how to do it, but I definitely want Kuja and Hendrik to meet. And I'd like to eventually see him and Yuki interact.
Hey there Muffin!, This is Mew, and we're finally in a game together (Ironically without either of us playing Kuroshitsuji people XD)! I play Atem from Yu-gi-oh here and Hel from Valkyrie Connect so I have plenty of people to throw at Kuja at some point! Atem is an ancient Egyptian Pharaoh straight from the afterlife, and Hel is a Norse Goddess + Queen of the Dead in her world.
Atem for one has always relied heavily on the power of friendship, and he does believe that former villains deserve second chances so maybe that will help. I DON'T KNOW. Welcome to the game!
Hi, I'm Zoki, and I play two characters who might have a thing or two to say about that...
Sunset here was saved by the power of friendship after a long, hard struggle with power and she now considers it her responsibility to be an ambassador. She's a total nerd with some hotheaded tendencies, and she really loves magic.
Seto Kaiba was also saved from his worst self, but much less gently and he's still very reluctant to accept friendship into his life. He hates magic and destiny and all of this nonsense and is generally a major grump.
Hi there! I’m Usami, and I play Fluttershy - who might be a bit shy but will still try to connect with him if she thinks he’s lonely - and Lena - who might relate to him better but will have a harder time doing anything about it. So it’d be interesting to see how they might get along or not, haha.
But anyway, it’s nice to meet you, and welcome to the game!
Welcome to the game!! I'm the Sora over in Wake as well, so any possible interactions between these two will prooobably be mostly the same, haha! This one's just a little bit older (not much wiser, though) thanks to being from a later canonpoint.
Hey Muffin! I'm Frankie, I play Louie Duck (DuckTales '17) and Kamala Khan (Marvel Comics), and the only Final Fantasy game I've ever played is Crystal Chronicles back on Gamecube. I should change that.
Anyway! I'm particularly curious about how CR for Kamala and Kuja could go, since Kamala is also struggling with the "where did my powers go? not cool!" thing, and also because she's generally just a friendly individual who will have... Mixed feelings on the former bad guy thing, since she's a superhero and all, though she overall believes in second chances.
Name: Lynn Contact:raistlynn Timezone: PST About yourself: I also play that serious knight guy named Hendrik from DragonQuest XI.
Character: Yuki Sohma House: Eiather About: Yuki is a nice person, not wanting to hurt those around him and is shy and reserved. He also suffers from low self-esteem. The head of the family Akito Sohma tortured him, telling him that no one wanted him, and she said if anyone knew he turned into the rat, people would feel sickened and reject him. So Yuki was isolated, locked in a dark room, and dealt mental, emotional and physical torture. He was also kept away from most of the Sohma family as well, so he's definitely the type of person that could be lonely in a room full of people.
He's pretty damn intelligent and has no trouble in school in relation to grades and his cousin knows how sharp Yuki can be in relation to figuring things out. He's also a gardener and the garden also serves as a place that he can go to when he wants to be alone.
But basically, Yuki is an introverted, quiet, shy, reserved person. He's also polite and respectful unless that respect has been abused/mistrusted. He keeps a small circle of friends and is hard to get to really know. His curse is broken so he has no fear of transformation and he is not adversarial with Kyo anymore. Yuki is a work in progress and is learning to open up more as he goes on.
CR Goals: I'm pretty open. Since his curse is broken he won't transform into a rat. But he really needs someone to come in and break that shell to get him to open up, really.
He gardens and is the student council president back home. He's also a black belt in martial arts but the canon doesn't go into a particular style, unfortunately. There's also art drawn by the creator herself of him with a sword so that's something he'll be training with/learning too.
He's tutored Tohru Honda, so he can definitely do that once he gets the hang of all of this magic stuff.
fkhjkdjhf I should have looked at the apps because I did not see this coming. Yuki was like my fav chara in Fruits Basket but admittedly I did not read the manga or see any of the new anime assuming it's out yet. I only saw the older anime. Either way, it will be neat to see him around the game!
I hope you know you are making the wait for the 5th even harder. (I’ve wanted to see Fruits Basket done justice, so I’m very excited about the remake!)
Otherwise, I have another smart and reserved Japanese teenager, so I do not know how CR might go, but I am willing to try!
Name: Drag Contact:DragonScope Timezone: PST About yourself: What to say... what to say… well I'm just a nerd for all my fandoms inside and out. Nostalgia hit me hard when the Reignited Trilogy was released and I think it hits about.. 95% of all the right notes alongside the extras.
I don’t actually Plurk much outside of game things, but my biggest interests lie in the Pokemon games, the MCU, and Yugioh.
Outside of rp time, I'm usually working my butt off doing part-time jobs.
Character: Spyro House: Valhudor About: Arrival wasn’t too kind to the little guy until his new dragon dad adopted him under their wing (hehehe), but aside form from some uncertainty that may pop up here and there thanks to such a deliciously traumatic start-
What you’ll find is a cool dude that’s truly a product of the 90’s. He’s young, he’s cool, and awesome… and he knows it! What he lacks in size (because seriously a full-grown Bearded Collie can body slam him hard) he makes up for with spunk…!
Rawr.
CR Goals: Oh you know, making totally rad friends. Spyro’s super into athletic activities, but I think the music classes will bring out his inner rockstar too. He must have some potential deep down insides if he can have so much fun blasting his last music instructor’s eardrums out with an electric guitar.
Notes: Spyro is roughly the same size as larger sheepdog breeds while standing on all fours. So standing up bipedally would roughly put him around the size of a toddler, somewhere close to 3 ft. (Probably.)
I'm Lynn, it's nice to meet you and I would love to have CR with Spyro! I can throw this quiet Fruits Basket kid at him and I also play Hendrik (a knight) from DragonQuest XI that I would love to play off of your adorable dragon.
Name: Greta/Bun Contact:harpiesiren, Bunnymoon#0742 @ Discord Timezone: EST About yourself: Idk, I'm a loser that like Disney and Kingdom Hearts and Sailor Moon and Marvel and a bunch of other fandoms that I like plurking about, and I have a cat named after one of the Sailor Moon cats.
Character: Isa House: Eiather About: Isa, formerly known as Saïx, is an ex-member of Organization XIII and a reformed antagonist. He's best friends with Lea, whom he's recently reconciled with, and is dealing with having his heart back after not having one for so long.
There's also that whole "trying to make up for being a horrible person" thing. That makes life a bit more complicated.
While he's a nice enough guy once you get to know him, he's very stoic, prickly and has no shortage of blunt, deadpan snarkiness, which makes first impressions of him a bit harsh.
CR Goals: He needs (more) friends who can get him out of his shell and people who can help him with learning how to be human again.
Also people to get caught up in his and Lea's shenanigans.
Isaaaaa! Sora here's from KH3 as well, so any and all spoilers are fine, of course-- he is from the beginning of the game, though, so he definitely won't know what to make of Isa for the first while, haha! I'm definitely looking forward to future threads between them, and welcome to the game!!

In all seriousness, these two could make interesting friends.

Is it cool if I add you on Plurk?

About yourself: I also play that serious knight guy named Hendrik from DragonQuest XI.
Character: Yuki Sohma
House: Eiather
About: Yuki is a nice person, not wanting to hurt those around him and is shy and reserved.

But seriously, I would love for Yuki and Fluttershy to interact! I think they'd make pretty cute friends once they get to know each other!

Otherwise, I have another smart and reserved Japanese teenager, so I do not know how CR might go, but I am willing to try!

Drag | Spyro

Timezone: PST
About yourself: What to say... what to say… well I'm just a nerd for all my fandoms inside and out.
Character: Spyro
House: Valhudor
About: Arrival wasn’t too kind to the little guy until his new dragon dad adopted him under their wing (hehehe), but aside form from some uncertainty that may pop up here and there thanks to such a deliciously traumatic start-
What you’ll find is a cool dude that’s truly a product of the 90’s.

Greta/Bun | Isa
Contact:
Timezone: EST
About yourself: Idk, I'm a loser that like Disney and Kingdom Hearts and Sailor Moon and Marvel and a bunch of other fandoms that I like plurking about, and I have a cat named after one of the Sailor Moon cats.
Character: Isa
House: Eiather
About: Isa, formerly known as Saïx, is an ex-member of Organization XIII and a reformed antagonist.
Notes: Be aware of KH3 spoilers with this guy!
