That Wand Is a Wonder!

You pulled down a book from a tall shelf in the Library of Starchime and promptly got hit in the head by a wand that was resting atop it. It looks innocuous, a cylinder of wood, but as soon as you pick it up, light streams out of the end. The barest motion is enough to make fantastic colors, and with a gesture you send light streaming across the library!

Light is all it does, right? Right?

Pranks for the Memories

Diatu Magicademy is a school -- one with different social groups, different Houses, different classes, different levels of experience... in short, pranks are inevitable. The latest one to make the rounds is the Sticky Glyph: step on a certain mathematical rune and the next person you touch sticks to you like glue. Casually brush against them, shake their hand, bump backwards into them -- however you did it, you have a new friend now, like it or not. The glyph wears off in about an hour -- do you wait it out, ask for help, or try to undo it yourself?

The Dueling Club

One of the more popular magical clubs, the Dueling Club is precisely as it sounds: wizards crossing spells, each trying to be the one to 'defeat' their opponent. How to do that varies by the sort of duel -- knocking your opponent off a platform, or getting them wet, or just good old rendering them unable to keep dueling. Less experienced students, like you, get the "water duel" treatment. Use your spells to get your opponent off of their stool in a small pool of water before they do the same to you! Losing means soggy shoes and a laugh at your expense; winning means pride, respect, and a chance for advancement into the club's informal ranks.

Chimera!

Transporting chimera is highly illegal without proper permits -- which is precisely why smugglers do it, and precisely why smugglers are valiantly struggling to extinguish their airship, while the beast responsible ambles down the gangplank and people flee like crazy. A small chimera, its shoulders are about shoulder height to a man. The goat head jabs at the cargo and building it passes, the lion head maintains a watchful forward guard, and the dragon head has taken the "burn it all, burn it all!" approach to greeting its new circumstances.

This is your chance to be a hero, and save the city of Anastara from certain doom at this beast's claws, heads, horns, and fiery breath. Or your chance to run like heck and hope it doesn't notice you.

Xion had been walking backwards, trying to avoid someone who had noticed her when she walked into someone, her back hitting thiers.

She jumped, and tried to pull free, hands going up to make sure her hood was in place. But when she heard that voice she froze. Just.... froze.

"R...Roxas?" she whispered.

She hadn't meant to. She hadn't meant to say anything but...

She tried to twist to see if it was him, which... probably just yanked him sideways....

Of course his back would get caught on someone else's. He struggled as much as the other person did, but try as he might, he couldn't break free. He groaned, running a hand through his hair; could this day get any worse??

But then he paused, eyes widening and back straightening. He... he heard that voice, and he recognized it.

"Xi--!!" He didn't get to finish that statement, as when the person tried to twist around, he was yanked sideways and nearly off his feet.

"Woah!!"

No.. she didn't hear what she thought she heard him start to say. No. After all that... she didn't know if she could handle proof of how badly she failed. She wanted to run, to get as far from him as she could.

She also wanted to stay, drag him up to the clock tower and never let him leave.

She hated herself, for being so weak. She hated herself for being such a coward. She broke to run... And forgot she was attached to him. Not expecting the extra weight, her foot slipped and.... down she went, with him stuck like a turtle on his back on top of her.

"Ow..."

"H-Hey!"

The running really didn't help keep him on balance, and once she went down, he toppled with her. They fell in an ungrateful heap, with Roxas landing sprawled on his back on top of her.

"Agh..."

He didn't want to crush her, but he also didn't know how to get up while... in their predicament.

"Ow...." Well that... didn't work. She tried to crawl out from under him, but as they were still attached....

He could feel her trying to crawl, and... yeah, no, this was going to be difficult.

"H-Hey, how about we move together? On the count of three?"

Like when they worked together to fight Heartless. She nodded, which in hindsight was doubly stupid, because not only couldn't he see it... now his hair was stuck to her hood.

She realized this at the last minute and sighed. Another thing she'd done wrong. But she had been trying to avoid speaking enough to trigger any memories.

Still, working together with him was as natural as the icing on the cake. "Alright, Roxas."

And then she was upset at herself all over again for saying his name. What was wrong with her? Besides the obvious, that was....

Whoops, now his hair was caught... Ugh, what an awful spell. But the sooner they were out of this mess, the sooner they could talk.

"Okay. When I count to three, I'm going to roll to my right and try to stand up. You roll to your left and do the same. One, two... three!"

She tried to move with him, to do her best to follow what he said to do, and mostly gave him most of the control. This was... not a good situation. How was he supposed to forget her again after something like this?
