September Game Announcements A Word From Your Mod Team Regard is building up! What would help you spend it? This Month In Diatu The Leaves Are Changing, but the Magicademy campus is an absurd place. They're changing not just color, but shapes and even sizes. Some trees launch seeds across the campus in paper-airplane-shaped leaves, while others aggressively attempt to weed out smaller competitors for their resources by dropping leaves the size of credenzas on anything nearby. A few trees burst into flame, which is apparently a totally normal thing for them, and a couple of them just wander around looking for a warmer place to plant themselves. Bala-inlota Fever Sweeps the Campus as the Striking Fists ready themselves for a match against Chaos By Comprehension. Both teams have been going hard on Discovery in their practices, so this match promises to be a knock-down drag-out magical slugfest the likes of which hasn't been seen since that one unfortunate match a hundred and seven years ago when the planet's atmosphere ignited, causing bala-inlota to adopt its second-ever rule (Rule 2: "If no one on the planet is left alive at the end of the game, the loss shall go to whichever team eliminated the last person."). The Caverns Beneath The Academy are still off-limits, save solely for the magical labs and other necessary places for continuing education. SERIOUSLY. PLEASE STOP GOING DOWN THERE. The faculty isn't going to beg but COME ON PEOPLE. Eagulls have invaded the campus to make homes in ever-increasing numbers, possibly because someone is just decimating their numbers in the city at large. These noxious seagull/eagle hybrids are giant pests who snatch food right out of your hand and try to bully you out sight of their nests despite the fact that it's FALL, these stupid birds don't eve have any eggs now! This Month In Anastara Fall Cleaning is a massive enterprise in Anastara, featuring as it does the canals being diverted into the streets to wash through the gutters and drains and scour out the filth that built up during the busy summer months. Take your waders, because any street you think to go down might be a river this month! The Colormarch First, let us apologize for the delay! And with no further ado: To the bafflement of all, Eiather has claimed victory in both June and July! They've built a commanding lead -- to catch up, you'll need to work hard! (Or sabotage them!) For June, Eiather students are given a specially Forged scroll. By setting an item on this scroll and speaking the word of power, they transform the item into a drawing on the scroll. Speaking a second word restores the item to its proper shape and form. For July, Eiather students receive a special coat that sizes itself to fit their familiar! Snazzy and stylish, this coat keeps them the perfect temperature even in the summer heat or winter cold, and protects from liquids. Congratulations! Adventures As detailed on our Adventures page, you may sign up for an adventure by responding to the appropriate comment on this post. We will respond with your adventure setups in a few days. You may undertake a new adventure this month even if you are still in an adventure from previous months. We also want to encourage everyone to involve others in your adventures! Though it is possible to do many adventures solo, we intend them as opportunities for characters to mix and mingle. Actions To represent characters working long-term towards a goal, you can submit up to two actions on the appropriate comment below that your character will be focusing their time towards (or one action twice). This can range from studying, to exploration, to trying to gain points for the Colormarch, to buttering up NPCs, to others. At the end of the month, once you submit AC, you will be given your results. Regains Each character may now earn one regain per month. To do so, you need simply comment on this post with what you would like to regain, and some associated concept of your home world or canon. You may also recommend a concept that works with that, a theme for us to build off of. Conflict, for example, is always valid! Once you've received your approval and prompt, go wild with what we've given you. And of course there will be absolutely no long-term repercussions or consequences of regains! Eleven will be researching the goddess Aenthe following his dream/update.

He's been rather charmed by the trees, so he's also going to spend some time practicing Intimation with them. MAgical tree knowledge??

Dewey will be quietly researching whether or not it is possible to change houses - asking for a friend. (No, really, not just for him.)

He's also going to try to get a job playing music for one of the local restaurants, as a friend suggested.

He's also going to look for some help from a professor or tutor with defensive magic, because Some Mathematics-Obsesssed People are jerks.

In light of last month's discovery of the Library of Fire and Ash, Aziraphale is going to spend a significant amount of time with the books found there (especially seeing as he doesn't actually require sleep), focusing on sundering magic and summoning (though he'll take note of many of the other things generally considered taboo...for interest's sake).

He's also going to be looking into a job that might earn him some spending (read: dining out and having nice things) money, since his usual source of income isn't available. Post inquiring to the network comm thingy to follow this month, sometime. (I don't know if this is your jurisdiction or if I just decide he's going to do such-and-such job?)

Lea will be researching magical methods of signalling and communication for hopeful use in connection to a future Forging project.

And he's begun carrying Smoke (his rat) around in his coat pocket much of the time (just so he won't get stepped on, and totally not because he likes the little guy or anything. TOTALLY NOT), which will likely result in strengthening his bond with his familiar.

Yugi would like to use the two clues he got from studying Sundering last month ( the Vault and the Sundering Circle ) and see if he can't find anything else. And if that counts as one! then he'd like to also strength his familiar bond.

Lady has been working toward harnessing her Item of Power: Universal Focus in the hopes of learning more about it. She'd also like to continue to strengthen her connection with her Special Connection.

Since training in the magical labs in the caverns is becoming an increasingly bad idea, Tenn explored campus looking for new places to practice and enhance his Fantastics spells.

And, of course, he's continuing to perform in the city (still as a solo act, though he may be open to participating in a theater if a good one is recommended to him.)

Noa spent a lot of the month doing the following- Researching barrier type magic (Gosh I Can't Imagine Why), and additionally trying his best Practicing those nifty blended magic arts ala the September Event earlier in the month

Roxas will be spending some more time with his familiar (n orange tabby cat named Sunset), so he will be working on strengthening his familiar bond this month. Also, he’s going to be assisting Lea with researching magical communications for his little project.

Also no actions for Gideon this time, but he’ll pop in and share some ice cream with the old wizard. Cause that’s what friends do.

Kaiba will be aggressively studying. He's too distracted to focus on much else.. No, someone doesn't have issues.

Spyro doesn’t have much to report in a letter since he’ll follow up on the monster hunter tip at a later date. But he will note that he appreciates the old dragon as a mentor and maybe when there’s finally a way for the Sundered to go home, Ire could visit the Dragon Realms? He understands now why the story about the Scourge of Gaole wasn't told to him from jump.

... With the added joke that Ire might need to make himself significantly smaller. Practically human-sized. Spyro can think of a certain cheetah who would likely faint on sight.


And then... with Sparx’s dragonfly magic back on his side and the definitely-not-mastered impenetrable scales trick (ew, math magic), Spyro wants in on some of the money that’s most definitely being passed around whenever he takes a challenge in the ring at the Night Shift. Only whenever he wins is fine, the place has been so generous already.

Because hey, can’t depend on his new dragon dad giving him a daily allowance right?

Jecht is doing bala-inlota as usual, and trying to master the principles of pocket-dimension magic to fill a blitz sphere.

Wow, thank you. My head has been broken this month.

Sho: Dealing with the dragon. And you know, more trash art. Because what are agreements?

Xion: processing. She's pretty much spent the whole month in bed. No, seriously. A long convo (that took AGES to thread out) shook her to the core and she is trying to figure out who and what she is. Which means no eagull hunting this month. First month off. And she didn't even get to enjoy having the time off.

V: Taking the blended lessons and trying to use them to, among other things, make handy haversacks and bags of holding. Also trying to make an endless spellbook, one where D&D spells can be scribed without concern to how many pages a single spell nonsensically claim. V might have an issue about that. So. Yes, crafting magical items based on the merged spells, and studying.

I know Noct's ability to summon weapons is through his bloodline, but I still figured he lost it somehow here. So conflict is definitely a reason for him to summon the weapons of his ancestors.

Dissidia weapon summon. He has his father's sword on him so that will be able to be summoned and unsummoned too.
