September Game Announcements A Word From Your Mod Team Regard is building up! What would help you spend it? This Month In Diatu The Leaves Are Changing, but the Magicademy campus is an absurd place. They're changing not just color, but shapes and even sizes. Some trees launch seeds across the campus in paper-airplane-shaped leaves, while others aggressively attempt to weed out smaller competitors for their resources by dropping leaves the size of credenzas on anything nearby. A few trees burst into flame, which is apparently a totally normal thing for them, and a couple of them just wander around looking for a warmer place to plant themselves. Bala-inlota Fever Sweeps the Campus as the Striking Fists ready themselves for a match against Chaos By Comprehension. Both teams have been going hard on Discovery in their practices, so this match promises to be a knock-down drag-out magical slugfest the likes of which hasn't been seen since that one unfortunate match a hundred and seven years ago when the planet's atmosphere ignited, causing bala-inlota to adopt its second-ever rule (Rule 2: "If no one on the planet is left alive at the end of the game, the loss shall go to whichever team eliminated the last person."). The Caverns Beneath The Academy are still off-limits, save solely for the magical labs and other necessary places for continuing education. SERIOUSLY. PLEASE STOP GOING DOWN THERE. The faculty isn't going to beg but COME ON PEOPLE. Eagulls have invaded the campus to make homes in ever-increasing numbers, possibly because someone is just decimating their numbers in the city at large. These noxious seagull/eagle hybrids are giant pests who snatch food right out of your hand and try to bully you out sight of their nests despite the fact that it's FALL, these stupid birds don't eve have any eggs now! This Month In Anastara Fall Cleaning is a massive enterprise in Anastara, featuring as it does the canals being diverted into the streets to wash through the gutters and drains and scour out the filth that built up during the busy summer months. Take your waders, because any street you think to go down might be a river this month! The Colormarch First, let us apologize for the delay! And with no further ado: To the bafflement of all, Eiather has claimed victory in both June and July! They've built a commanding lead -- to catch up, you'll need to work hard! (Or sabotage them!) For June, Eiather students are given a specially Forged scroll. By setting an item on this scroll and speaking the word of power, they transform the item into a drawing on the scroll. Speaking a second word restores the item to its proper shape and form. For July, Eiather students receive a special coat that sizes itself to fit their familiar! Snazzy and stylish, this coat keeps them the perfect temperature even in the summer heat or winter cold, and protects from liquids. Congratulations! Adventures As detailed on our Adventures page, you may sign up for an adventure by responding to the appropriate comment on this post. We will respond with your adventure setups in a few days. You may undertake a new adventure this month even if you are still in an adventure from previous months. We also want to encourage everyone to involve others in your adventures! Though it is possible to do many adventures solo, we intend them as opportunities for characters to mix and mingle. Actions To represent characters working long-term towards a goal, you can submit up to two actions on the appropriate comment below that your character will be focusing their time towards (or one action twice). This can range from studying, to exploration, to trying to gain points for the Colormarch, to buttering up NPCs, to others. At the end of the month, once you submit AC, you will be given your results. Regains Each character may now earn one regain per month. To do so, you need simply comment on this post with what you would like to regain, and some associated concept of your home world or canon. You may also recommend a concept that works with that, a theme for us to build off of. Conflict, for example, is always valid! Once you've received your approval and prompt, go wild with what we've given you. And of course there will be absolutely no long-term repercussions or consequences of regains! Dewey will be quietly researching whether or not it is possible to change houses - asking for a friend. (No, really, not just for him.)

He's also going to try to get a job playing music for one of the local restaurants, as a friend suggested.

He's also going to look for some help from a professor or tutor with defensive magic, because Some Mathematics-Obsesssed People are jerks.

I know Noct's ability to summon weapons is through his bloodline, but I still figured he lost it somehow here. So conflict is definitely a reason for him to summon the weapons of his ancestors.

Dissidia weapon summon. He has his father's sword on him so that will be able to be summoned and unsummoned too.

Because she hasn't learned her lesson and wants to continue to regain her abilities Lady is interested in regaining DUVOKUN, a spell that allows her to call on the shadows of the damned to rise up from hell and torture anybody in a specific area. continued death damage is dealt until either the shadows are slain / dispelled or the target escapes the infected area.

In light of last month's discovery of the Library of Fire and Ash, Aziraphale is going to spend a significant amount of time with the books found there (especially seeing as he doesn't actually require sleep), focusing on sundering magic and summoning (though he'll take note of many of the other things generally considered taboo...for interest's sake).

He's also going to be looking into a job that might earn him some spending (read: dining out and having nice things) money, since his usual source of income isn't available. Post inquiring to the network comm thingy to follow this month, sometime. (I don't know if this is your jurisdiction or if I just decide he's going to do such-and-such job?)

They heard the rumors, slipped to them by a contact deep inside the Magicademy. That there's a duck in town who'll get your package delivered come hell or high water. Doesn't ask too many questions. Doesn't seem to value his employees much. Someone they can take on, who'll get their business done -- and probably won't mind too much if someone who knows too much doesn't come back from their run.

You have a commission, Louie. Get this unusually heavy box of candy to the docks post-haste. Extra money for extra speed.

The trip seems like any other one -- a simple path with a shortcut through a small grove, with a quicker way to the Gate promised at the far end. An easy thing for you and your friends to pass through, right?

And yet as soon as you reach a turn in that grove, such that neither end nor beginning is visible, a pure and visceral emotion washes over you. Dread, so powerful and all-encompassing it threatens to overwhelm your very being. Can you all overcome it? And what will happen, if not...?

You'd think this sort of thing would happen while Eleven is deep in prayer, trying to come to terms with his new role and his new worship. Or maybe in a dream. But nope: one night while he's out and about, a big ol' black circle opens up in the air right next to him, its entire two-foot diameter taken up by an eyeball.

"A Sundered who is faithful, is -- oh, crap, it's you." Evidently the eyeball recognizes him, and it swiftly vanishes, leaving only the portal behind. Will you enter?

Wow, you just love that Experiment, huh? Well, this works out pretty well, because trying out the Deathtoll card down in the summoning cavern has instant and immediate results, to wit: half the cavern is now warded off by immense gate, with countless chains binding it tightly shut and all descending down to one lock the size of Yugi himself, hanging just before him. Behind that gate, all is a writhing turmoil of shapeless, bloblike monsters that look particularly familiar to Yugi!

What will he and his friends do?
