August Activity Check Welcome to the August activity check for Diatu Magicademy! A reminder of our rules: You must provide one log thread with at least 5 comments from your character. You must provide either an additional log thread with at least 5 comments from your character, or a network thread with at least 10 comments from your character. If you have some activity during the month, but not enough to pass AC, you may request a strike. To clear the strike, you must provide double activity the subsequent month. Activity is valid for posts made between the close of applications in August and the close of applications in September -- so this month, any activity made between Wednesday, August 7th, and 8 PM Eastern time, Wednesday, September 4th. Activity must be submitted by Saturday, September 7 at 8 PM Eastern time. Also, as a reminder, the results of your Actions will be posted as a response to your activity check. If you haven't chosen any, you have until AC closes to do so. Aw, thanks Gideon! Also this is a bit late but after some time, I decided here's the two questions Roxas will ask:

1) Could Gideon tell him a bit more about this world, specifically anything that might not be taught in the schools?
2) What type of magic does Gideon specialize in, and what's his favourite spell?

Also, I know he only gets two questions, but can Roxas find out if Gideon like ice cream? If he does, Roxas will remember to bring some next time he visits.

1. That's a pretty big question! Well, one thing they really try to downplay is the Incident, in which a botched spell summoned a god who transported an entire Magicademy ten years into the future. That was the specific reason Sundering was banned, even though there had been pressure growing against it for some time.

2. Gideon considers himself a 'generalist', as many wizards do -- which means he has a solid grounding in Discovery, Fantastics, Thaumaturgy, and Intimation; reasonable ability in Modification but poorer than a focused Modifier would be; and no knowledge of Sundering. This is generally what 'wizard' means to your average person, and for good reason.

3. Of course he likes ice cream!
