August Activity Check Welcome to the August activity check for Diatu Magicademy! A reminder of our rules: You must provide one log thread with at least 5 comments from your character. You must provide either an additional log thread with at least 5 comments from your character, or a network thread with at least 10 comments from your character. If you have some activity during the month, but not enough to pass AC, you may request a strike. To clear the strike, you must provide double activity the subsequent month. Activity is valid for posts made between the close of applications in August and the close of applications in September -- so this month, any activity made between Wednesday, August 7th, and 8 PM Eastern time, Wednesday, September 4th. Activity must be submitted by Saturday, September 7 at 8 PM Eastern time. Also, as a reminder, the results of your Actions will be posted as a response to your activity check. For Vaarsuvius, we consider all threads under one top-level to be part of the same thread. In addition, the second proof has only four comments not counting the top-level. Therefore we request an additional proof. (Understanding that the hurricane threat has been quite real for you, we will extend the deadline for which threads count till the end of this AC period.)

Professor Trand is, notably, not a wizard at all, but such is her skill with weapons of all sorts that the Magicademy retains her to teach whatsoever classes the students might want to learn, be it staffs or swords or glaives or hook-hammers or stranger. Your efforts caught her attention, and she stopped to give you several helpful pointers, with the offer of more to come should you care to spend some time learning with her.

Your efforts at learning about dragon ghosts and dragon magic have been stymied.

Nowhere in the Library of Starchime or anywhere in the conventional areas you search can you find any reference to any serious knowledge of dragons. This is no coincidence; unquestionably, this information has been deliberately and thoroughly purged. You will need to look somewhere less controlled, more secret, or dangerous if you want to find the information you need.

To compensate for the fact that we can't actually reward you for these actions, we offer two regains free of cost. (We noted in one AC thread that Noa was considering books, for example, so these may be used for such things -- they can be most anything from his world, not necessarily something specifically and personally his.)

On reaching 50 Fame, you are now a reputed performer. Most people who know entertainment know your name, and your performances are consistently well-attended. Both tavernkeeps and the owners of small venues seek you out to perform on their stages, and your income has taken a notably upward turn. You could now live solely on your earnings as a performer if you so desired (although with not studying magic having such dangerous results, we don't recommend this).

However, increasing your Fame after this will be more difficult. (We will roll a d100 + a modifier for your actions, and compare it to your current Fame level.)
