March Activity Check

Welcome to the March activity check for Diatu Magicademy! A reminder of our rules:

You must provide one log thread with at least 5 comments from your character.

You must provide either an additional log thread with at least 5 comments from your character, or a network thread with at least 10 comments from your character.

If you have some activity during the month, but not enough to pass AC, you may request a strike. To clear the strike, you must provide double activity the subsequent month.

Activity is valid for posts made between the close of applications in March and the close of applications in April -- so this month, any activity made between March 6 and 8 PM Eastern time, Wednesday, April 3rd.

Activity must be submitted by Saturday, April 6th at 8 PM Eastern time.

Also, as a reminder, the results of your Actions will be posted as a response to your activity check. If you haven't chosen any, you have until AC closes to do so.

Rin's efforts at working with Professor Trammel have resulted in:

+2 regard with Professor Trammel.

Regarding the egg: The Obsidian Egg hatches at the end of the month, producing a bird of flames as bright blue as Rin's, and about the size of a large eagle. Professor Trammel immediately identifies it as a Greater Phoenix. Unlike a normal phoenix, the Greater Phoenix is reborn into an egg instead of a hatchling body when it dies, and requires magical flame of some sort to hatch it again.

Hatched, the Greater Phoenix has supreme mastery over fire. It may create it, manipulate it, or douse it with no effort at all. It flies at incredible speed, and functions as if it has +3 additional Familiar Bond above whatever level Rin has raised it to.

However, its lifespan is quite short. At the end of the month, the Greater Phoenix will perish, leaving behind a new Obsidian Egg. From here on out, this pattern will repeat: one month dormant in an egg, one month hatching, one month in its full glory.
