September Activity Check

Welcome to the September activity check for Diatu Magicademy! A reminder of our rules:

You must provide one log thread with at least 5 comments from your character.

You must provide either an additional log thread with at least 5 comments from your character, or a network thread with at least 10 comments from your character.

If you have some activity during the month, but not enough to pass AC, you may request a strike. To clear the strike, you must provide double activity the subsequent month.

Owing to external circumstances, valid activity and the activity check deadline have both been extended this month. The activity check will close Monday, October 7 and all activity made until then is valid.

Activity must be submitted by Saturday, September 7 at 8 PM Eastern time.

Also, as a reminder, the results of your Actions will be posted as a response to your activity check. If you haven't chosen any, you have until AC closes to do so. If you are on hiatus, simply check in! Your activities will be processed as normal.

Gregory Iron-Arms

A famed competitor in the Night Shift's ring, Gregory particular enjoyed the chance to have a couple of rounds with an actual dragon in the ring. Once they managed to free the pair of you from the floor after he suplexed you into it so hard he got you both stuck, he bought you a drink and struck up a conversation. A dock-worker by trade, Gregory only stays in that line of work to keep in shape; his true calling is these late-night brawls.

Something conversational for a change:

1. What does Ire eat? Spyro's never met or heard of a dragon as big as him except in like... fictional stories.

2. How big was Ire when he was Spyro's age, which he defines as just over a single cycle- 12 human years.

3. Can Ire passively breath underwater like Spyro ~~can~~ could? It's like having magic gills, without actual gills. (This may or may not seem odd to Ire for a fire-breather to have.)

Separate from this, Spyro will banter with Gregory that sure it's easy to toss him around now- but the fight would've went a ton differently if he was his size!

1. Ire is confused. Spyro needs to eat? Dragons are creatures of magic first and foremost, so their existence is self-sustaining. They can choose to eat if they like, for the sake of taste and experience, but they don't need to.

2. He was still considered a hatchling then, so -- slightly larger.

3. Just as dragons don't need to eat, they don't need to breathe either. Their basic biological processes resemble other beings structurally (they have hearts and circulatory systems, for example) but any external components they need to survive come from magic itself.
