September Activity Check Welcome to the September activity check for Diatu Magicademy! A reminder of our rules: You must provide one log thread with at least 5 comments from your character. You must provide either an additional log thread with at least 5 comments from your character, or a network thread with at least 10 comments from your character. If you have some activity during the month, but not enough to pass AC, you may request a strike. To clear the strike, you must provide double activity the subsequent month. Owing to external circumstances, valid activity and the activity check deadline have both been extended this month. The activity check will close Monday, October 7 and all activity made until then is valid. Activity must be submitted by Saturday, September 7 at 8 PM Eastern time. Also, as a reminder, the results of your Actions will be posted as a response to your activity check. If you haven't chosen any, you have until AC closes to do so. If you are on hiatus, simply check in! Your activities will be processed as normal. The Screaming Stone of Yaggloth

Following rumors of sort of valley within a forest in the Magicademy that might be a good place to practice because of its auditory quirks, you instead discovered that the valley itself is nothing special. However, within the valley you found the true source of the rumors - a stone that, when squeezed, emits horrible shrieks and wails and yells as if being tortured horribly. On the one hand, learning to sing over this thing will help your concentration and projection; on the other, well, who knows what sort of use this will have?

Tenn is going to be deeply concerned about this and immediately check around for more information in case the stone is some sort of living thing or effigy curse. Would there be anything to find in the Library of Starchime, if he asks a staff member, or something he might have learned in his classes, for example?

(Please reassure him so he'll keep the thing instead of trying to exorcise it.)

A quick magical exam by a professor reveals that the stone is just really weird, not a trapped soul or anything like that. They have no idea who enchanted it like that, but it appears it won't hurt anyone, so...
