A really big argument between Professors Kith, Loshakle, and Trammel about whether 'dark energy' is pure magical energy infused with certain qualities, the comparative absence of light, or a fundamental cosmic force normally uninteracted with.

Custom Spell: Birony's Answer. This spell hurls a bolt of dark energy at an opponent. Headmaster Birony came up with it on the spot. None of the Professors feels this is at all satisfying, but no one can deny that the spell attacks with dark energy.
