So, gotta ask... SMK CRAU? Because I think Mal took over his bedroom when he moved out near the end there and had been sofa surfing his room before that for a while. Plus the whole mural thing. >.>

(Unless somehow I have characters mixed up in which case you have total right to laugh at me and my swiss cheese brain)

I seriously debated it. I loved all my CR in SMK, but ultimately decided not to bring it in. The main reason was that I didn't want to make things awkward for either Zoki (Kaiba), or Lisa (Yugi), since in SMK Atem was dating Kaiba but in Diatu it was always Yugi (Pulse at that time), and Kaiba.

I would be perfectly fine if Mal (and Sylvando too for that fact) wanted to recall the events that transpired in the Magic Kingdom and inform Atem about it. Yes, he would be confused at first, potentially embarrassed by much of it, but ultimately he would find it plausible due to the nature of dimension hopping and the havoc it seems to play on memories. It should be fun!

Edit: Just imagining his reaction to the mural story alone. "I did what?!" Pricelss.

It should be! It'll be fun having cross game canons collide and see what comes of it! At least someone remembers! Let's face it though.. Atem + Amnesia ... just fits >>; since for most his canon he doesn't know who he is.

Not terribly canon familiar, but sounds fun. How is he going to feel if their first encounter is a random teenaged girl stalking up to him, asking if he's rooming with Sylvando, and presuming a no comes out she says "Fine, I'm stealing your sofa" and declares she's crashing with him because "What? I did it before. You.. didn't know I was slumming it in your home?" (99% sure this is NOT how it will happen, of course, but still hilarious to imagine.)

It's all good. ROFL, he's going to assume she's talking to someone behind him at first or then he'll think maybe she means Yugi since they are nearly identical and none of it is going to make any sense to him. It'll be great! When he's sure that she means him.. woo boy. LOL. (It really is!)

"Are you ok, Miss.. I think you have me confused with someone else......"

"I know who you are, Atem, and frankly if I have to call in your debt to me, I will. So. Your sofa is now my bed If you don't have a sofa I'll take the floor. Anything is better than the dorms. If you're like Sylvando and are fussing about a teenaged girl in your room, then you can take my bed in the dorm and we'll just swap. At least till you move in with your boyfriend. Who is that, by the way, don't think I ever found out..."

It would be so bizarre since she already knows his name! "Debt? What debt?...Ha- well, hate to disappoint you but I'm also in the dorms," (Just barely makes the age cut for such things.. ALTHOUGH TECHNICALLY.. his spirit is over 5000 years old.. they seem to go based off physical age). "....Wait. wait... back that up. I have a boyfriend?" Raising one eyebrow at this so hard.

Ha! I can't wait to get something going.

"Ugh. Fine, you'll pay me back some other way. There are a few demons here who need tormenting. And yeah, Sylvando would know who it was. I never cared that much," off handedly casual lie.

"Is it wise to torment demons?" I mean, if they deserve it, then sure.. Atem could get behind that. "Just how many people should I be expecting to know who I am before I meet them?"

"They deserve it. And I dunno, whoever else showed up."
