He sighs. "Look, this is a magic school with all sorts of weird stuff, so I kind of just figure there's no point in hiding it in a place like this, but...I'm a sea monster."

He watched her, waiting for a reaction. He assumes it won't be as extreme in a magic school as it is in an Italian fishing village, but he still wants to wait for a reaction.
