Inaugural Game Announcements A Word From Your Mod Team Hello and welcome to our game! We're incredibly happy to see the excitement and energy you've brought to the test drive, your applications, and the intro post. All we can do is our very best to keep that energy alive by providing you the best game we can. When Does It Open? The game will open tomorrow at 8PM Eastern, the same time as applications close. We will do our best to have every application processed by that point. If you need more time on your application, let us know! Is The TDM Canon? The prompts The Airship There and Rain, Rain may be canon if both parties involved were accepted to the game and agree to it. Thaumaturgy 101 will not occur for about a week in-game; you may declare them canon once classes begin if they aren't otherwise superseded. Bala-inlota Practice contains somewhat more magic than beginning characters should possess, and as such should not be considered canon. This Month In Diatu Orientation Week gives new students the chance to learn about the campus, its rules, the faculty -- everything in the information pages, essentially, if they so choose. You'll also get to experience the various receptions from staff, faculty, and other students (and also possibly ghosts, for you Ka students and Keep visitors). Classes Begin after Orientation Week ends, and everyone will find themselves beginning their education in the magical and intellectual arts. Are you ready for school? Bala-inlota Tryouts begin once classes are in swing. You may or may not be entered into them voluntarily; Captain Lominia is not exactly known for respecting consent when it comes to her student teams. Older students might trade or sell you the location of good places to hide from her. This Month In Anastara City Event: 'Say Hello To The Sundered' encourages the new students from other worlds to come experience the wonders of Anastara, from its sights to its shops to its fine buildings to its wandering canals. Forged entirely of good government intentions and lukewarm buy-in at best, the event manages to be patronizing and hopelessly naive all at once. Some people are in the spirit; most want nothing to do with the whole thing, and a few negative souls are using this to fan flames of suspicion and hostility against the Sundered. Have fun? Adventures As detailed on our Adventures page, you may sign up for an adventure by responding to the appropriate comment on this post. We will respond with your adventure setups in a few days. (We're waiting to see how the responses and application cycle work out this time, so we can determine an official policy on timing in the future. Bear with us, please!) Actions To represent characters working long-term towards a goal, you can submit up to two actions on the appropriate comment below that your character will be focusing their time towards (or one action twice). This can range from studying, to exploration, to trying to gain points for the Colormarch, to buttering up NPCs, to others. The Secrets of Sundering - This could be an interesting one for Hel, since sundering could pose a threat to all civilization and well canonly she'd been trying to prevent Ragnarok. Just seems to fit.

V will be trying to regain spell slots and known spells. Preeeeety much for the foreseeable.

Kaiba will be studying with a focus on modification. He'll also be paying the War Games Association a visit, making an effort to learn the game and make a few waves. By the time they go into town, he'll at least be making an effort to moderate his usual haughtiness for survival's sake.

Sunset will be studying with a focus on music.

Fluttershy will be studying music-related magic, as well as finding ways to use magic to communicate with animals.

Lena will be working to figure out how the Catastrophe Cannon works.

Buttering up NPCs, you say? That sounds like something Yotsuyu would get up to...if that ends up earning Purifeul some Colormarch points, that's just cream!

I think her secondary focus would be studying, though at this moment I am not sure what she'd see as the best magical option to concentrate on. I know her House specialty is Modification, and she'd study Discovery as a "know your enemy (rival, really)" sort of thing. And possibly Sundering, since that's what got her here...

Buttering up NPCs sounds right up Louie's alley. He'll also be looking into possible "business ventures". (Think the Weasley twins during their time at Hogwarts?)

Peridot will start with general studying, and work on training her familiar!

Aaron will be learning how to doing the studying thing. He'll be primarily focused on religion studies and intimation, since that's kinda the bread and butter of his house.

He'd like to find a piano somewhere so he can play/figure out if he can reserve "practice time", or otherwise regain his keyboard from home.

Takane will be studying primarily music-related magic per her assigned house. She'd also like to use an empty practice room to keep her singing and dancing polished.

Saya is going to concentrate her time and effort on Modification and Alchemy.

Yugi is going to work on his relationship with his familiar and start his studies on Thaumaturgy.

Webby will try to get away with exploring "The Library of Fire and Ash", since that's her special knowledge.

But when she isn't getting her tailfeathers burnt, she'll be diligently studying, with a focus on History of the Tenscore Kingdoms.

Rin will be trying to learn Thaumaturgy the fast and loose way - because studying is hard and for other people, he's more an experience kind of guy.

He'll also be working on training his flames more, because he can kind of do it from his point in canon, but not to a great degree (can choose what to and what not to burn, but is the least precise thing to ever grace these halls)

Alphinaud will also use the opportunity to explore his secret knowledge location, the Crystals of the Gods. And also studying, of course.

Sakura will probably explore the general premises, just for the heck of it, and also maybe try to study a little.

Xion and V here. Let me know what you want to make canon. I love all the TDM threads so will happily take any of the airship and rain rain threads forward! Things shifted a little because of V's familiar, but honestly retconning that is canonically perfect.
