But, as she saw Peridot back off, she eased somewhat, smiling almost a little grimly. "Not? Well, wouldn't be the first time I'm wrong. I'm just not used to people being curious about me. Nobody's ever curious about me back home. They know what I am, and they don't care." Why should they?
