At that Elizabeth seems a little surprised. Had she seemed so enthusiastic? And here she had thought her nerves had clearly showed her at a disadvantage. The compliment has her hum lightly before she turns her gaze back to the windows before her. Her voice is still light and somewhat playful but there is a more serious tint to it as well.
