Peridot isn't entirely sure why what's essentially watered-down combat would be considered a fun pastime. Combat has never been something she's enjoyed, or been good at, and surely anyone who did enjoy it would be disappointed not being allowed to actually destroy the opponent. She can't help but think of Jasper at that particular notion, but fortunately it's all running through her mind quite fast, each idea fleeting as she tries to figure out a spell to apply, or a move to make.
She's so focused on thinking that she doesn't even notice the young woman next to her has wound up with the ball until the cry for help. Peridot turns to Zelda, wide-eyed.
