Hmmmm..... It bothered Thena to be at some school other than Hogwarts, especially without fully knowing why. Did this have something to do with the cursed ice? The Cursed Vaults? Her brother? All of this would be easier to handle if Rowan and Penny were here. She missed Ben too, of course, but suspected that he would be terrified of this place.
She shook her head and made herself focus. Whoever this teacher was, he couldn't be any worse than Professor Snape, and no matter who her classmates were, she doubted they were any worse than Merula. So she just had to focus, learn what she could, and bring this knowledge home.
It was hard, having lost the spells and charms she'd spent the whole past year learning, but she could learn anew, she could. And if she could impress Professor Flitwick, she could impress Professor Loshakle. She was the only Ravenclaw here, so she had to make the best possible impression. And who knew, maybe when she came home she would even get some house points for this adventure.
She took a deep breath to steady herself, then lifted her wand, carefully tracing the shape he had created. "Sense Magic." Thankfully wand control and chanting were two of her best subjects. Had this been History of Magic she could have been in trouble. But This was like duling, like charms, this came naturally to her.
Well..it had back home. Here... she would keep practicing, just as she did there.
