The expression was priceless, and Joey was pleased to have put it there but if only he could have kept this up. Any enjoyment he'd taken in upstaging Kaiba was negated when the spell went awry and he fell to his knees. He'd been so close to have lost it in the end!

"Ha ha..." He choked out, having taken the brunt of the fallout. Shakily he drew himself back to his feet. "You're on". This was clearly a contest now and it wasn't going to end until one of them was the victor.

Just as if this were a game of cards, he waited albeit impatiently for Kaiba to complete his turn. The longer he waited the more he had to fight the urge to fidget or try casting it again himself. It probably wouldn't be wise for them both to attempt it simultaneously. The results could be even more disastrous.

When the snow began falling, Joey released a breath he hadn't realized he'd been holding in the first place. "Try again, only make a bigger cloud dis time so they have to call off class for a snow day." He grinned, and stretched his arms as he decided to try once more. This time he attempted to follow the notes he'd taken a peek at a little more closely. Something about his motions had clearly been off. "Magic don't fail me now, Sense Magic!". Apparently adding the extra phrase beforehand seemed to confuse the issue as large capital "F"s began appearing all over his skin. "......... Did.... anything.... happen?" Since it started from his face and spiraled out downward he couldn't see them until they reached his arms and hands.
