September Activity Check Welcome to the September activity check for Diatu Magicademy! A reminder of our rules: You must check in. With each character's check-in, you may list two Actions -- things they undertook behind the threads and have been working on this month. This can be as simple as, for example, Explore, Study, or Suck Up, or more detailed information. These don't require thread links, as they represent your characters' activities during the normal day-to-day life that threads don't ordinarily capture. When we process activity, we will give you the results of your actions. Special September Note: Because of the confusion over Actions last month, we loaded everyone's rewards into the Diatu Master Spreadsheet directly. October Game Announcements A Word From Your Mod Team Hello, everyone! Please be aware our response time may be slower the week of the 10th due to the holiday week and associated business on our ends. Also, why was September a trash fire in general? Anyway, moving on! This Month In Diatu Lousy Shmoctober Weather means you can't trust the skies day-to-day. Some quirk of the air currents around Ascelion means one day it might be summer-hot, and the next chilly enough to see frost in the morning. Students often resort to Intimation to figure out what to wear for the day (or Discovery, or Modification, to change as needed). Some rely on other magic to ward them against weather, which always results in hilarity when two temperature-controlling spells each attempt to overwhelm the other. Don't worry, the medical treatment stings less than the results! The Fashion Police don't belong to Gekronus Maius, surprisingly, though their dapper dress and code of conduct would have you believe they do. In fact, this group of mischievous Purifeul students are taking the piss out of their rival House by appearing without warning, magicing their victims into formal wear, then disappearing in a puff of fashion. Although Professor Trammel has officially expressed his disappointment in these students, their efforts in mockery have completely failed to land among most Gekronus Maius wizards, who think frankly they're doing you all a favor. The rest of the student body is just glad that this month's ridiculous dispute doesn't involve getting sucked into an impromptu musical or poetry slam or whatever the hell Valhudor is up to lately. Kedrigan Hall keeps burst into flames for some reason. If you are responsible for this, faculty would appreciate you stopping it, please and thank you. This Month In Anastara A Resurgence in Faith has begun. Lapsed followers are making appearances at services that aren't just the usual holiday obligatories, and many new converts are giving this whole 'worship' thing a try. Apparently an impressive festival is responsible. People may not quite believe in the gods as fact, but they did get the chance to see what benefits and power a little faith can bring. Adventures As detailed on our Adventures page, you may sign up for an adventure by responding to the appropriate comment on this post. As a reminder, you aren't confined to the suggestions on that page; you may give us a word or brief phrase, a general request, or even request something out of the events in the city. When posting, also let us know if you would like High, Medium, or Low mod involvement. We will respond with your adventure setups in a few days. You may undertake a new adventure this month even if you are still in an adventure from previous months.
